Big Mac Fries – Vegan and Gluten Free!
We’ve come to that time again, when summer starts to fade away. With Autumn peaking around the corner, we thought it was time to make all of our summer favorites before the pumpkin spice takeover! What is more summer than the Big Mac? Big Mac Fries! Lighter, crispier and ooey gooey, these are the perfect summertime meal!
Serve them on their own or pair them with the Vegan Big Mac, these will surely fill any McDonald’s cravings you might have! If you grew up like us, McDonald’s was the forbidden fruit. The go to meal to bring back to school and flex on your friends. The first place you went for lunch when you get your licence in high school, 3am drunk trips in college, the list goes on. So even though some see it as a soulless multi billion dollar industry, it will always have a place in our childhood memories.
That being said, they aren’t exactly the most Gluten Free and Vegan friendly option on the market. We actually haven’t been in ages, long before going vegan. So when that McD’s craving hit- we had to get creative. Replacing the classic meat and dairy heavy dish with light and fun plant alternatives really took these fries to the next level.
The amount of Big Mac Sauce is totally up to you, we are actually completely divided on this topic. Half of our house likes them completely covered and extra saucy, and the other half like to just dip. As always, the recipe is perfect, but really can be used as just a guideline. Never be afraid to make your Big Mac Fries how you like them, extra pickles anyone?
