Best Vegan Butter Chicken
We love this Vegan Butter Chicken! Like anyone else we can’t resist the tantalizing allure of a fragrant Butter Chicken sauce! Being vegan obviously we don’t mess with butter or chicken. We put on our thinking caps, thinking of ways to recreate one of our favorite non vegan indulgences.
What we came up with was a creamy mouthwatering sauce paired with mouthfuls of pull apart jack fruit meat. Aside from the AMAZING flavor, the full bodied aroma filled our kitchen in the best way.
There is a few snags we have hit with this recipe in the past, specifically with the jack fruit. We have found that because the jack fruit has a sweet flavor, it can get weird. We have found that cooking the jack fruit with some vegan butter and poultry seasoning and salt cuts some sweetness. Preparing it this way first will give it more of a savory flavor, just be cautious not to over cook! Over cooking can cause the jack fruit to start to dry, so make sure you keep it low and slow to keep the pull apart consistency.
