Creamy Vegan Hollandaise Sauce (Vegan Gluten Free)

Creamy Vegan Hollandaise Sauce (Vegan Gluten Free)

There is never a bad time for Vegan Hollandaise sauce! Smothering a plate of roasted asparagus, dripping down the side of a tofu and sausage breakfast sandwich. We cannot possibly get enough!

The vegan version of this traditionally cream heavy sauce is so incredibly easy to throw together. It is much more stable with a cashew base. Just make sure your cashews are well hydrated and soft before you start, to make sure you really get that creamy flavor. If you’re the planning type, you can soak them over night at room temperature. But if you’re like us and can’t plan anything, then you can just boil them for 20 minutes and there is literally no difference in taste.

Vegan Breakfast Sandwich

We love this creamy and tangy sauce on so many yummy foods, if you were thinking of doing a sandwich we love the O’Doughs bagels as buns. They are honestly have the best gluten free products we’ve come across, we can’t say enough good things! 🙂

What’s nice about this sauce is its amazing and not too over powering. It acts more like a compliment than a main flavor. Our favorite thing about this recipe is how easy it is too whip up! It takes almost no time to make this start to finish. Which is so perfect for a groggy morning! We hope you love this sauce just as much we do!

  1. Add your soaked cashews and all other ingredients to a blender. Blend and blend a little more, you're looking for a smooth sauce with no chunks.
  2. Pour contents of blender in to a sauce pot and heat on medium for 3 - 4 minutes. This thickens surprisingly quick so we recommend stirring until the desired thickness is achieved.
Recipe Notes

Spice up your vegan hollandaise sauce with mustard powder or cayenne pepper.

If you find yourself looking for that "egg" taste in your sauce try adding ½ tsp black salt.
